Introduction to Welding

Description
Support from the start - Duramax Academy.

We understand that the induction of new employees into an organization is crucial, that's why we continue to develop the e-learning Duramax Academy. The Duramax Academy will also have a live induction workshop for employees that need to know more about our products and sales processes. Both the e-learning Academy and the live induction program will provide new employees with all the necessary tools and information they require in order to be confident and successful in their respective positions.

Duramax Academy in this module covers the basic of welding, the history of welding, classification of welding processes and describes the principles and the equipment used for gas tungsten arc welding, shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, flux cored arc welding and submerged arc welding. The advantages, limitations and applications of each process are identified. The classification systems for electrodes, electrode-gas and electrode-flux combinations and the requirements for the handling of electrodes, gases and fluxes are described.
